Kristin Edwards, a versatile native Texan, is motivated by a deep love for creativity, meaningful human connection, and a fundamental appreciation for beauty. Her journey and voice have been woven together through a diverse array of vocations and skill sets, spanning from journalism and college ministry to singing, motherhood, makeup artistry, and personal training. Amidst a period of transition, Kristin discovered painting as a new form of self-expression.
As a self-taught abstract expressionist artist, Kristin draws inspiration from her faith, inner reflections and thoughts toward the future, and the beauty in nature and architectural design that surrounds her. She recently studied under Ty Nathan Clark’s Artist Mentorship Program, where she delved into the tapestry of both historical and contemporary artists, enriching her technique and expression, ultimately strengthening her unique voice.
Kristin’s artistic journey has been highlighted by her participation at The Other Art Fair in Dallas, Texas. Her works have also been shown at Art Direct Gallery in Austin. She lives and works from her studio in Leander, Texas, with her husband, Phillip, and their two kids, Elle and Prescott, and their beloved dog, Charlie.
